This unit is specifically designed to monitor the condition of 100V line speaker systems in emergency paging and fire evacuation installations. It can handle large commercial speaker circuits with loads of up to 250W per zone, whereas traditional line monitoring units were limited to 50W per zone. The A 4567C is capable of handling loads of up to 500W per zone. Its microprocessor controlled circuit provides continuous monitoring of loudspeaker lines for normal, open, or short circuit conditions. An LED indicator, with multiple colors, displays the line's condition for each zone. The Redback Line Monitoring Unit 10 Zone A4567C includes a built-in buzzer with a cancel button for audible alarm alerts. The unit also offers a switched output for remote monitoring in the event of a fault condition. The output is a ground signal and the unit provides three outputs: one for short circuit conditions, one for open circuit faults, and one combined output for any fault condition. For optimal performance, a minimum of 8 wires should be used when connecting the A2081 to the A4500B. With the use of standard Cat5 cable, the plate can be positioned up to 30m away from the main unit. For longer distances of up to 100m, heavier gauge cable must be used to ensure proper voltage drop and LED illumination. The Alert/Evac/Chime/Cancel switches on the wall plate are directly connected to their corresponding contacts on the A4500B, while the Alert, Evac, and Bell LEDs are connected to the corresponding 24V outputs.
