Dual Port AES50 Repeater with up to 100 Metre Range The DN9610 provides a cost-effective solution to the 100 metre limitation that Ethernet and CAT5 cabling imposes on the physical size of AES50 networks. Its compact form factor allows DN9610 to be placed where required to increase the length of a network connection, all that is needed is a source of mains power. DN9610 acts as a repeater to allow two independent AES50 connections to be extended by up to an additional 100 metres, without the need for format conversion or the use of optical fi bre cable. DN9610 is capable of both 48 kHz and 96 kHz operation, with its two AES50 connections able to operate at different sample rates simultaneously. Each connection can support 48 bidirectional channels at 96 kHz, or 96 bidirectional channels at 48 kHz sample rate. The two AES50 connections are also ideal for use with dual-redundant networks, such as the X and Y connections used on MIDAS digital console systems. Multiple DN9610 units can be connected in series, allowing AES50 to be transmitted over considerable distances. Whilst AES50 is bidirectional in operation, to maximise ease-of-use when cascading multiple units, the two AES50 connections on DN9610 each feature a nominal input and output port to simplify reference clock distribution. Through-unit propagation delay is less than 0.5 microseconds, which has a negligible effect on overall AES50 system link latencies. Dual Port AES50 Extender and Multiplexer with up to 500 Metre Range (Pair) With the DN9620, you can now extend your AES50 network beyond the 100-metre limitation imposed by Ethernet and CAT5 cabling. By utilizing a pair of DN9620 units, you can have up to two AES50 connections with 48 or 96 bidirectional channels at 96 kHz or 48 kHz sample rates, extended up to 500 metres via multimode optical fibre or 100 metres via CAT5 copper cable. It's a great solution for long-haul cable connections as it simplifies the setup by using only a single bidirectional snake cable. The DN9620 acts as a bidirectional multiplexer and demultiplexer, combining the incoming AES50 streams into the outgoing snake connection. Simultaneously, it takes the incoming snake connection and unbundles the two AES50 streams routing them to the corresponding AES50 ports. It's a transparent system that routes the incoming AES50 streams to the outgoing streams on a one-to-one port basis, incurring only a small propagation delay of 270 microseconds. KT-DANTE64 offers high performance direct-to-computer audio recording, flexible routing and true Plug and Play technology with low latency, low jitter and sub-microsecond synchronisation. Dante is Internet Protocol (IP) compliant which allows operation over conventional Ethernet networks running on off -the-shelf computer networking hardware, and does not require dedicated network infrastructure. Dante's Zero configuration protocol allows Dante-enabled devices to identify and configure themselves automatically when connected to a network. Dante-enabled devices discover one another over the network and learn each otherÕs capabilities, including the number of input and output channels, sample rates and bit depths supported.
