Description
Expertly crafted for use with Redback Touch programmable touchscreen wallplates, the Redback 12 Relay Control Box can be utilized as a standalone system or as an expansion hub for the A 6505A. Featuring 12 relays with isolated voltage-free contacts that close upon operation, this control box is a reliable and versatile option.
When paired with Redback Touch wallplates, the wallplate connection can extend up to 50m using a Cat5/6 cable. This hub then receives commands from the programmed plate and outputs the corresponding RS232/485 command signal to the pluggable terminals. This is ideal for controlling AV systems in spaces such as classrooms, lecture theatres, and board rooms. The serial outputs can be used to operate a projector and amplifier. 24V DC power is required, which also powers the connected wallplate.

The relay hub can be used in three ways:
- Direct connection via Cat5/6 UTP cable to a Redback Touch wallplate, which is programmed to control relay activation.
- As an expansion to the A 6505A hub, increasing the total number of relay contacts from 3 to 15. In this configuration, one of the serial outputs of the A 6505A would be used to control the A 6510. These hubs should be located as close together as possible.
- As a standalone serial controlled relay hub for use with any third party system utilising RS232/485.
