The Redback® A 4422 is a 4-channel mixer specifically designed for professional public address installations in a variety of settings, including shopping centres, gymnasiums, places of worship, and court rooms.Inputs and OutputsThe A 4422 features a 4 channel mixer that allows configuration of all inputs to either Balanced Mic or Line level. Its line level inputs consist of dual RCA's with adjustable input sensitivity via DIP switch, and are internally mixed for a mono signal. Balanced mic inputs are connected using 3 way euro blocks with selectable input sensitivity and 15V DC phantom power options via DIP switch. A 1V balanced output is available through euro blocks.Front Panel ControlsThe front panel features volume controls for each input channel, along with tamper-proof screwdriver-adjustable treble and bass controls. Priority and MutingThis mixer features two levels of priority/VOX muting, where inputs 1 and 2 can operate this function regardless of the input setup. This is beneficial for instances where telephone paging, radio microphones, emergency tones, or similar devices need to mute background music on other inputs.The priorities operate as follows.Input 1: Priority 1 - mutes inputs 2-4Input 2: Priority 2 - mutes inputs 3-4Adjustable VOX muting sensitivityThe VOX muting on inputs 1 and 2 have adjustable sensitivities which are adjusted via the trimpots on the front panel.
