Description
The Redback Phase 5 amplifier series was designed and developed over a span of 2 years in Australia, adhering to strict engineering standards. Extensive input and consultation from professional sound contractors and installers nationwide contributed to the remarkable performance and reliability of this series. With a multitude of features, these amplifiers are highly recommended for demanding industrial PA system applications. Furthermore, they feature on-demand multi-staged thermally cued fan forced cooling.
The output power stage of the Redback Phase5 Boost Public Address 2x125W Amplifier A4372 is equipped with thermal monitoring, allowing for automatic operation of a long-lasting computer-style cooling fan that can be switched "off" or "on" based on airflow needs. In normal use or during paging mode, the fan remains inactive. However, over temperature sensing is in place to safeguard against extreme overheat situations, such as excessive load or improper use of the amplifier. The system will automatically restart once normal temperatures are reached, and there is also output peak limiting for added protection.
The output voltage is capped at a maximum of 105V RMS regardless of the load impedance, to protect the speaker load from damage. Compared to standard 100V line PA amplifiers, which can supply over 180 volts in high drive and low load conditions, this amplifier's output voltage is significantly lower. This is important, as excessive voltage can rapidly destroy any connected loudspeakers.
