The swirl blue MK-SWS/BL from Kala is a water-resistant Makala Waterman Series Soprano Ukulele that has ABS plastic construction. Designed as the ultimate outdoor ukulele, it can be used by outdoor enthusiasts at beaches, rivers, lakes, in the mountains, and more.
The Waterman Ukulele pays homage in part to Mario Maccaferri, the legendary ukulele designer who was inspired at the 1939 World's Fair to create his own plastic ukulele. Kala Ukulele, influenced by Maccaferri's design, created a new uke with a focus on the outdoor enthusiast. "The Waterman" is the ukulele for people who live the waterman, outdoor lifestyle.
The MK-SWS/BL ukulele is durable and easy to keep clean, and it is built with nickel-plated open gear tuners to ensure it stays in tune.
